Tourney Fun!!

We fielded 3 teams in a 3v.3 competition in November for the first tournament in Kuching. 2 of our teams made it into the quarter finals but unfortunately we not able to progress further. But for a group of guys who played at the field only twice, I think we did quite well.

We are now looking forward to other tourneys in the city coz playing on our weekly scenario games is fun and adrenelin packed... tourneys are the same but with an added edge of urgency and this has pushed us to further feats....

Our group that played in that tourney... was a long day but we surely had fun. To add to that, we were the biggest contigent as a team at the tourney. Will post more photos later.

Note:

I would like to thank Wilson Chong for the use of his photographs from Facebook! ahhh.... shhh... there was no prior approval (both written and verbally) Thanks Wills!! :)

Getting all geared up for the Paint rain!!

Daryck meditating before the game!!

Sean seems to be doing a briefing while Wills is busy with his Twisties!!

This group is cool! They are not only warriors by day but now have reached out to do battle on the field as well.

Paintball Injury Risk.

Guys I found out that paintball has less sports injuries than running, tennis and football among others. Having said this, paintball will be safe as long as safety comes first and players are responsible.

Paint Session

This was a long awaited game after 3 weeks of absence from the field. We didnt have enought people but we went ahead anyway... it was all great fun on a Saturday afternoon.

By the way the field does not sell beer for your information! The bottles look like beer bottles, may smell like beer but it may not be beer. Maybe its some energy drink... hahhahhahhahaaaha.... right Richard?! right Nauk?!

Waiting for the next round to create some Chaos in the Jungle !! See Ya!!

ION Package

This is the ION package which is one heavenly marker to shoot. It is a quiet and durable marker to use. At the moment, it is a bit hungry on the gas. But i am going to install a new QEV soon and adjust the dwell settings (to reduce the gas usage giving the marker a better performance). This should give me more paintballs per air fill. A drawback that some people may find on this marker is that firing modes changes need to be done inside the grip. For me, it does not bother me as we usually have a pre-agreed playing format...ie Semi- Auto.

The beauty of E-markers is that even on Semi-Auto mode, you have the power to access the power of the beast within... you can conveniently start ramping the ION and feel that surge of power in your hands. In fact, I have to keep reminding myself not to start ramping coz the urge is so great... :)

Overall, an Emarker is what i would call an 'once off' investment and so far I think that the ION is a great value for money marker.

In late October, the ION XE will be available here and this one you are able to remove the bolt without a full disassembly of the marker. The ION XE is an upgraded version of the ION. This would make it easier to do quick cleaning or maintenance on field. The Spart Parts ION XE should go for about RM1500 here.

If you dont have your own marker, look into it...it will really enhance the level of play and fun.

Paintball in KL

Was in KL on 30 August and happened to drop into a paintball tournament. And boy was it heaven to see paints flying around. The ultimate was the sound of E-Markers echoing throughout the field at game on and a sight to be seen when everyone is ramping their E-Markers with ease. Its like watching an orchestra. Mind blowing. The paintball in industry in KL is flourishing. Heres looking to create this in Kuching.

Trying out a Smart Parts Shocker. Ramping at the lightest touch of the trigger.

NOTICE: ALL Kuching Lawyers

Hey! All you Kuching lawyers... you should be ashamed of yourselves haahhaahahhaha....your counterparts in KL are paintballing:

Co2 v. Compressed Air

For those of you wanting to decide between Co2 tanks or compressed air, here is a players forum to view: http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3788. See what you think?

Here is the STAKO tank which is compressed air http://www.stakopaintball.eu/ :

Im really interested in this model.....yummy!!

In action

Junglehunter advancing towards enemy bunkers looking for the flag where the heat of the action is. But this time he was not successful as he was shot as he was attacking.
Another attacker in postion to take on the bunkers. On the other side of the battle is the determined defenders holding on to their postions fending of a wave after wave of attacks. This is where the concentration of the battle will be ultimately. That is where the second phase of the fun begins and writing about this really brings a smile to my face!!! DAMN!!!... i must play this weekend!!!!!!!!!!! hahaahhahaha.

Ready for action on 29 June 2008

Guys having a chat before "game on". For those who have not played this game... it looks like grown men who have playing like kids. And thats what a lot of players thought before trying it our....and now WE are all hooked. It is really one whole package of Adrenelin Rush going through your veins.

GET INTO THE LIFE "GAME ON" ~ Life is Short PLAY HARD !!!

Full military gear.

This really looks like the military going into battle with oxygen mask with full camo. In fact the camo top is korean military so i wonder where did he get if from .... hahaha

Family affair.

In full gear on the battle field. This is our father and son team going on side by side. Another son and daughter is also somewhere around actively playing this Xtreme paintball.

Its never enough

This was after our battle. And some of our guys still want more. So the shooting range is the next best option. Guys! We will meet again!!!

In Between Battles

Happy faces after paintball. See you guys again in battle!!

Defenders at work

Defending is as interesting as attacking. Although the waiting is a bit long but before you know it you will start seeing masks in the mist of the lalang and trees. Then it begins... paintballs start shooting at and past your bunkers or hiding place as attackers strategise their kill!

Casulty of warfare

This guy had three shots.. must have been caught in an ambush. Shot in the hand and in the face and another body shot!!

Dear All,

In view of the recent spamming activities we have to activate the word verification function for those of you who leave comments. I know its one extra step but we need to keep our blog as fun as possible.

Defending the base camp!!

This was a good one. This is Nauk.... one of our strategist when it comes to defending the fort! In this defense we held back waves of attackers. In this scene while Nauk took shots at the attacker, i did a flanking move to take out the attacker by running out of my bunker to engage the attacker from his blind side and ran back to my bunker to ward off the attacking force from the left side.

Strategy time ( the moments of counter strike!!)

What would paintball be without an attack strategy.... who's Attacking!... Defense...Cover fire... Hey! this is wat we came here for right.... to feel the glory of taking an enemy position....

Awaiting the time to capture enemy position

In senario paintball, the moments before Game On really gives me a sense of silence and calm before hitting the deck at full speed to engage the oncoming raid for a face to face encounter at point blank range! Welcome to our world.... hahahaha!
